Lithuania proposes a shared player card for gambling limits

Lithuania’s draft player-card system would connect identification, restrictions and limits across licensed operators.

Lithuania’s draft gambling reforms include a player-card system for remote gambling and physical venues. The proposal would let the supervisory authority coordinate controls across operators instead of leaving every limit inside one account.

What would change for operators

Under the notified draft, operators would connect to the shared system and check identity and eligibility before a session. The system is intended to apply restrictions and monitor relevant limits across the licensed sector. That is different from a loyalty card issued by one casino.

A draft is not the live system

The European Commission notification records proposed technical and legal requirements. It does not establish that players already have to use the card or that every part of the draft will enter into force unchanged. Implementation dates and operator duties should be read from the final legal text.
